HUNGRY ANYONE? by “SYN ATHINA…” Group

“Hungry anyone? We are all hungry.  Hunger strikes on our faces, on their faces, in their eyes, in our eyes, in everyone’s eyes!

“HUNGRY ANYONE?  One “not expected” performance from Athina Pappa with the theatrical group “SIN ATHINA “, which will be presented on the 13th of January 2011 at Michael Cacoyannis (BLACK BOX) Foundation , for a limited number of shows.

Social and emotional hunger, cannibalism!! Allegory and realism, german expressionism and naturalism, hard and poetry speech daily and academic! Body’s movement and expression, sound and music, dark and light, hosts and guests, with a lot of humor but also with plenty of surprises and turnovers, because ,as long as I’m hungry, I hope, as long as I’m alive, I’m hungry.

There will be one guest performer on each show! People and professionals that are known to the public.

The play
Five people of different origins, professions, ages, cultural backgrounds and mentalities meet in an acting studio with the LIFE ART THEATRE technique. The main theme of he research and the study is starvation and cannibalism in several levels. The purpose of the study, on which this play was based, is to approach the issue through the history, the political and social being of their country and as well as their personality.

The performance
The Performance “Hungry Anyone?” was the opening show of the OFF OFF THEATER FESTIVAL at EPI KOLONO Theatre in summer 2010. The show made a great success and was put on again during the same festival.
