CULTURAL CENTRE OF CHALKIS ART WORKSHOP

The President of the Chalkis Art Workshop, Mrs. Charikleia Mytara, and the Director of the “Michael Cacoyannis Foundation,” Mrs. Xenia Kaldara, invite you to the opening of the Jewelry Department Exhibition of the Chalkis Art Workshop, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor Catastrophe.
The opening will take place on Wednesday, October 22, at 19:00, at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.

The jewelry exhibition commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor Catastrophe.
The project was supported by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Chalkis.

A hundred years ago, people came from the East, carrying with them the living tradition of a civilization 3,500 years old.
Inspired by the daily life, embroidery and costumes of the Asia Minor Greeks, we have created contemporary jewelry that bridges history and modern expression.
