“The Happy Prince”
by Oscar Wilde

Our beloved Stamatis Kraounakis, a restless artist by his nature, has proved that he doesnt hesitate to be challenged. This time, as narrator, surprises us again introducing one more facet of his extraordinary talent.
As a storyteller of old times derives inspiration from the magic of the oral narration and narrates for kids and adults “The Happy Prince” by Oscar Wilde, on Saturday 1st of February 2014, at 17:00.
Stamatis Kraounakis repeats a narration which moved the audience in the line of the festive events by Michael Cacoyannis Foundation last December. Having as allies a “golden sculpture” and a “swallow” attempts afresh, in his own extraordinary way to remind us the power of love, generosity and solidarity, against cruelty and indifference, the way uniquely Oscar Wilde has designated it.
And… once upon a time… and today…
“High above the city, on a tall column, stood the statue of the Happy Prince. He was gilded all over with thin leaves of fine gold, for eyes he had two bright sapphires”
You are welcome!

Once again, the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation keeps on supporting the activities of the Estavromenos Church Parish, here at the Foundation’s neighbourhood, in the city of Tavros. The turnover of the various initiatives will support the common meals being offered daily to 100 unprivileged persons.
The numbers are impersonal, however revealing the reality, which persistently counts 3.100 portions of food per month, clothing offer, pharmaceutical as well as medical coverage and, in just one neighbourhood, which seeks for warm hearts in order to move along.
