Amongst others directrors like Tayfun Pirselimoglu, Luc Dionne, Giannis Diamantopoulos, Burhan Qurbani, Nikola Lezaic, Drago Sholev, Hou-Ji Chan and deputies from the new generation of Greek artists “argue” with the public through their movies.

Presenting one of the most recent plays of the famous American writer Neil LaBute, the “In a Dark Dark House” that was written in 2007, the theatrical company “Protes Yles” will be hosted at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.

The play is being presented for the first time ever in Greece.

The “In a Dark Dark House” has been firstly presented at Lucille Lortel Theatre in New York and approaches the story of two brothers, both of whom, experience from their diverse and own perspective a sexual abuse: a thirty year old security guard named Terry has come to visit his estranged younger brother, Drew, in a psychiatric hospital. Drew, a wealthy attorney, is confined here after a spate of bad behaviour including drunk driving and coke possession. Eventually, he musters the courage to tell his brother that he was sexually abused in his boyhood by a slightly older family friend named Todd. The furious Terry goes off to search for Todd, with the apparent goal of exacting revenge.

Drew’s request is the occasion to unveil the hostility feelings of the two men relationship. Through pain and betrayal acknowledgement, brothers start fumbling indelible evidence of the violent abuse that have suffered in and out the family environment.

The suppressed memories of a dark childhood haunt the two boys adult life, marked ineffaceably by the catastrophic influence of the double attack by an abusive father who rampages roundly, and a young man, whose repetitive catastrophic action ends to a real mental murder.

Remnants of this past are being revived by the time both men fight against pain and betrayal that marked their relationship forever.

Amongst his compositions, we can find the trilogy “Sun, Sea, Wind”, inspired by Greece as well as the piece “La Callas” devoted to Christos Lamprakis. He has performed at Megaron Athens Concert Hall, the Thessaloniki Concert Hall as well as the Ancient Greek Theatre of Epidaurus. IL paRЯaiso
by contemporary dance group “ki omOs kineitai”

Having as occasion the 3rd part of La Divina Commedia by A. Dante IL paRRaiso an extraordinary feast is being shaped, an one-hour journey on the subject of paradise, night ceremony, a “party” where each and everyone seeks for outlet.

Dance, acrobatic skills, singing, are being synthesised in order to narrate with a sense of humour and sensitivity our own relationship with paradise.

-Paradise that we all refuse or accept

Bodies that balance, they lead to a constant spin, which unifies and brings to a common universe faces, actions and their relationships in an order of consonance. It is a so fragile and dynamic calmness, born by constant disorder.

I saw them contained into its depth, fastened on a body, all the ones that in the universe seem to be separated. Essences and interactions and incidents [canticle 33]

IL paRЯaiso

A mechanism of bodies moving harmonically to asymptotic orbits on the ground as well as in the air.
Route: Progressive twist of situation, a change of place not forward, nor backwards, but around of also moving places. Bodies that balance.
Balance: Correspondence of adverse forces. Constant abdication from the place and return to that one, or any other, without resistance.
Harmony: pleasant vocal sound assonance
A so fragile and dynamic calmness, born by constant disorder.
