Yasuzo Masumura: “A Pioneer in the Japanese New Wave”

The Embassy of Japan, in cooperation with the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation and the Japan Foundation presents the Japanese Film Festival, from the 14^th until the 17^th of February, 2019 at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, as a part of the celebratory events for the 120^th anniversary of Greek-Japanese relations (1899-2019).

This year the Festival comes under the title, «Yasuzo Μasumura: A Pioneer in the Japanese New Wave» – as a tribute to the great director, and will include first ever screenings of four of his award-winning films, provided by the Embassy of Japan. The Festival will be taking place within the framework of the Japan Foundation’s event, “Exploring Japanese Film Festivals”.
