The European Festivals Association is delighted to invite you to apply for the EFFE Label 2017 – 2018. EFFE is an initiative of the European Festivals Association (EFA) co-financed by the European Union.
The Michael Cacoyannis Foundation takes part in the second edition of the Program EFFE – Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe (2017-2018) as the EFFE Hub for Festivals in Greece.
The first edition of the EFFE Label and Award 2015-2016 presented 761 festivals from 31 countries receiving the EFFE Label and 12 of the most trend-setting European festivals which received an EFFE Award. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get recognition for your good work by colleague festival makers and apply now for the EFFE Label 2017-2018! Being a selected festival means to your audience, your sponsors, your media, your local authorities that your festival programme and mission belongs to the outstanding and innovative group of festivals in the European Union and beyond. It also means networking in the EFFE Label Meet-up in May 2017 where you will meet your colleagues; and your festival gets visibility through a dynamic branding and media campaign that will promote the EFFE Community towards audiences across Europe. All participating festivals have a profile page on the EFFE website and are all part of the online EFFE Professional Community. Last but not least, EFA will animate this new international festivals community, allowing professionals to exchanges and interact with each other. Application Procedure and Deadlines Until 17 February 2017 you have the chance to apply for the EFFE Label 2017-2018, demonstrating your quality and devotion to the EFFE Label values: 1. Artistic Commitment and Innovative Approaches, 2. Community Involvement and 3. a festival’s European and International Engagement. Festivals applying for the EFFE Label automatically will be considered for the EFFE Award 2017-2018. The application form is online on www.effe.eu where you can find all information on the application procedure. First you have to register your festival on the professional community and from there you can click through to the application form (see instructions). Registration on the community is free of charge, to apply for the EFFE Label, we ask a small administration fee of €80. No further costs will be charged for being part of the community. Please know that most participating countries have an EFFE Hub that acts as a contact point for artists, festivals, businesses, and policy-makers where all the details can be obtained. Experts chosen by the EFFE Hubs will assess their country’s applications and see if they meet the three criteria. Their findings will be presented to a high-level international jury, which will decide on the final list of festivals receiving the EFFE Label 2017-2018. On 15 April 2017 you will be informed about the result which will be announced publicly in May 2017 during the EFFE Label Meet-up (more details soon).
