From Darkness to Light- Εight Extracts of Ancient Tragedies that harmonically intertwine with main features Light and Darkness.Why can’t the tragic hero see the Light and lives in Darkness? The tragedies Oedipus the King by Sophocles, Seven against Thebes by Aeschylus, Antigone by Sophocles, Medea by Euripides, Ajax by Sophocles, Andromache by Euripides, Bacchae by Euripides, The Persians by Aeschylus, present the tragic hero and how he dealt with the free will given to him by the Gods.

 

Four deaf actors, who use the body language as well as their own language, Sign Language, along with two hearing actors, who lend their voices and with live music, as deaf people can feel its beat, shall make us travel in the world of tragic situations determining man’s relation with himself and with nature, his relation with his fellow men, as well as the position of responsibility he has towards the world, thus creating the sensation of a unique experience to be shared by both deaf and hearing public.
